Do you ever feel “pin”adequate? #Pinterest #Playdoh Recipe #Slime Recipe

Do you ever feel “pinadequate”?  I will be the first one to raise my hand and answer yes!  I love pinterest…but so many beautiful pinteresting do it yourself crafts can leave a mama to feel pinadequate.  I made slime and playdoh today and it turned out well, but not as beautifully and wonderfully made as some super talented crafter’s. I do try, and I have tons of respect and admiration for those of you who can craft with style. I attempt and create, but it’s nothing like most of the beautiful pins, I followed to create the said project.  Just to give you an example, please see my homemade playdoh and slime I created through pinterest. 

Now, what you don’t see is sticky playdoh melted pots in my overcrowded sink, soaking. Flour dusting on my countertops from a very craft three year old helper, and food coloring on my oldest sons shirt in droplets. You also don’t see my bill of the ingredients, that perhaps, should have been in my cupboards, but had to be purchased. As always, some things that look beautiful and completely effortless, are usually not.  I am not perfect, my boys are not and neither are my homemade concoctions. I will always strive to be among those of you, who create art with each project you pin. Seriously, my hat’s off to you, because you inspire me to try!! 

My boys loved their homemade playdoh and slime and in the end that is all that really matter’s, right?
