This week is Food Allergy Awareness Week and I will be bringing you tips and recipes all week long Six million children and an estimated fifteen million adults are living with food allergies, which can be life threatening. Eggs are deadly to our oldest son, so we know all about dietary restrictions.  Both of my boys have food allergies and our oldest actually anaphylaxis to eggs. He was air lifted on his first birthday from eating birthday cake! Since then, I try to promote awareness and help other parents in similar circumstances.
Symptoms of Food Allergies can include:

The most common symptom  is hives. Other symptoms can include one or more of the following:
  • tingling in the mouth
  • swelling of the tongue and throat
  • difficulty breathing
  • stomach cramps
  • vomiting
  • diarrhea
  • eczema
