If you are looking for some fun ideas and activities for your little junior fireman in South Carolina…look no further!  Enjoy this list of fun activities and DIY firefighter themed projects.

Community Day held usually in June at Powdersville Volunteer Fire Dept. Fun, free, and an opportunity to eat lunch with a local hero!

October is fire safety awareness month and the community usually offers activities educating the community about fire safety.

Easley Fire Department had an open house back in October. It was fun, informative, and we got to interact with public safety, firefighters, park rangers, etc.

Touch a Truck event usually held at Westside Park in Greenville, most of the time features a fire engine. This past year there was not one, however, usually they do have one.

Touch a Truck this year will be held on September 13, 2014

Usually in October, Home Depot Kid’s Clinic will have a fireman themed craft to make..FREE and a firetruck for little ones to tour. Lowes Build and Grow also usually features a firetruck to make or something similar during fire safety month.

JrFirefighterparty

We had my son’s fourth birthday party at the Powdersville Volunteer Fire Department. It was the best party we have ever had!! It was so much fun for all of the children, and the birthday boy was ecstatic! The cost is very reasonable and I was glad to spend my money on our local heroes, than another inflatable kingdom. The party was ideal….I cannot emphasize enough what fun everyone had, and how we learned a little bit about fire safety, too!

The party was so unforgettable!!!

I’d love to find out about other fire department’s that are willing to have birthday parties and what kind of fees, so that I can share with other families.
